A survivor of high conflict interactions and trauma, Dr. Belton understands the potentially long reaching impacts of adverse childhood experiences. Since 2012,  she's helped clients through coaching to break through the strongholds of the traumatic experiences that are holding limiting their full experiences of life.

For the last 35 years, Dr. Jai has provided counseling services to those with mental health challenges and addictive behaviors, provided education and psychoeducation to marginalized populations and facilitated trainings to various organizations that were dealing with negative interpersonal, cultural or systemic challenges that impacted individual and organizational performance and productivity.

Dr. Jai uses a strength-based approach that embraces present resiliency skills and supports her clients as they build others that are healthier and sustainable. The premise of operating within a systems oriented society takes into consideration the interactions of an individual with themselves, their families, their communities and the world at large. All of these socio-ecological systems dynamics impact how trauma is or is not processed.

Dr. Jai is also a proud mother of two adults and Mimi to her granddaughter. Self care is a must and she enjoys reading, being near the ocean and spending time with her family and friends.

Your journey to understanding, managing and coping doesn't have to be done alone. Healing happens in community.
